Did you get in contact with everyone else okay?

Yes, thankfully. [ well, Hiro and Saiduq were both gone, but that had happened before Karl had vanished. If anything, Otome's only grown more proactive at making sure those she knows are still around and safe. ]

It just hasn't been easy with the colony the way it is.

[ Good news! And while the colony leaves nothing to be desired for those with simple needs, Izumi does have a better sense of how nuts things can be once something goes down. ]

Things seem to be calming down, though I wasn't expecting the plants to start going crazy. They've been calm lately, so walking around like this should be fine, right?

If not, I've got a few ways to keep them well-behaved... so as long as we're cautious, I think things will be fine.

Well, you can freeze them, or break them, or zap them... it doesn't stop them entirely, but it does discourage them.

It's not really something I broadcast, if I can help it... but my other job right now is Demon Tamer.

What? So you tame demons for a living? [And make dough with medicine in the meantime?] How did you manage to land a job like that?

Mm, well... people also come from different times. It might not have happened to you yet.

There was no news about something that huge before I got here. Still, an apocalypse? Unbelievable . . . What happened?

[ And there's something about demons? ]

Well, ah... you could say some sort of alien administrator decided humanity wasn't worth keeping around anymore, and so sent a lot of demons and other creatures to destroy us.

What was that administration called? They couldn't have been Neighbors.

Well, the most recent set is what we call Triangulum.

[ We won't go into the Septentriones and Polaris. ]

"Triangulum"?

[ Okay. It starts with "tri" like trion, but that's where the similarity ends. The word rolls clumsily off of Izumi's tongue. ]

I don't recognize that at all.

That's probably for the best. If I could, I'd prefer that no one ever had to deal with them.

That's sweet of you to say, Kohei-kun... but it's more that I'm just surrounded by pretty incredible people.

There must be other demon tamers, aren't there? Are you all part of an organization that fights for humanity?

[mombastic]

Not all of us. Some were made demon tamers fairly recently, and not all of them want to use that power to help. Others do, but do so outside of an organization.
